TLF 2020 Graduate Scholarship Recipient Brionna Hunter
My name is Brionna Hunter and I am currently a rising second year student at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where I am pursuing my Master of Business Administration Degree. I wanted to get my MBA because I knew it would allow me to further my career by gaining access to new skills, networks, and opportunities.

I first heard about TLF through an advisor while I was in undergrad at Howard University. I wanted to apply to the scholarship because the I thought that my goals and experience aligned well with the organization’s mission. I believe in TLF’s mission because diverse representation throughout the marketing, advertising, and public relations spaces is lacking and much needed. With this scholarship, I am now able to cover some of the out of pocket expenses that come with being a full-time student again.

Once I earn my degree, I hope to pursue a marketing career in the technology or consulting industry. I want to pursue these goals because I hope to continue to learn and grow as a marketer in a challenging environment. Bringing diversity into my field of work is important because companies and brands need to understand and value all perspectives when making business decisions.

Beyond receiving the scholarship, I want to continue to stay involved with TLF because it provides a great network that I hope to add value to as I develop in my professional career. I think the work TLF is doing is important because they are helping to solve a piece of the complex problem of inequality that unfortunately continues to permeate in almost every aspect of our society.

I would like to thank The LAGRANT Foundation and all of its supporters for making this opportunity possible!
