TLF 2020 Undergraduate Scholarship Recipient Rhea Chawla
My name is Rhea Chawla and I am a junior at The Savannah College of Art & Design, where I am pursuing a degree in Fashion Marketing & Management.

As a two-time recipient of the TLF scholarship, I know firsthand how significant TLF’s contribution and networking opportunities are to students around the country. With this scholarship, I can utilize a significant portion of my time outside of school to focus on internships and volunteering in my community!

After graduation, I plan to work in Apparel Product Development and Marketing because taking something from concept to final product is what I enjoy. Bringing diversity into my field of work is important because the industry strives to reach a global audience that consists of different cultures, backgrounds, and lifestyles. Having a diverse group of employees means having multiple sets of ideas, solutions, and experiences. This will benefit not only employees but also the companies as they develop the understanding, vision, skills to adapt and emerge strong for the cultural transformations that we'll see in the coming years.

I want to continue to stay involved with TLF because it has been an invaluable steppingstone in preparing me for a career in my field and I will always be grateful for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful organization. I think the work TLF is doing is important because it provides an exceptional foundation and thorough understanding of working hand in hand and leading a diverse team.

I would like to say thank to Mr. Kim Hunter, and the rest of the TLF team! No matter where life’s journey takes me, I know the experiences and connections I make through TLF will help me succeed for whatever lies ahead!
