TLF 2020 Undergraduate Scholarship Recipient Riley Moscicki
My name is Riley Moscicki and I am currently a junior at St. John Fisher  College, where I am pursuing a degree in media management. I wanted to pursue a degree in media management because I developed a passion for writing and research.

My professor had heard about TLF at a public relations conference where the scholarship was being discussed. She recommended all of her students who qualified apply for it because of the great resources provided for recipients. I wanted to apply to the scholarship because I knew receiving the scholarship would help me expand my network, build a successful communications career and open doors for me I would normally not get. This scholarship will not only help relieve the financial burden of school but help me develop my professional career with the valuable resources and tools offered by TLF.

Once I earn my degree, I hope to pursue a career in the travel and tourism or the food and beverage industry but I am open to other ventures as well. I am interested in these industries because I have always enjoyed the joy of traveling, meeting new people, and connecting through food. Bringing diversity into my field of work is extremely important because it allows companies to better understand different markets and respect cultures better.

Beyond receiving the scholarship, I want to continue to stay involved with TLF because I want to continue their mission and help anyway I can. I think the work TLF is doing is important because it shows minorities that their opinion and knowledge is important and needed to better enhance the communications industry.
