2019 Wells Fargo & TLF Student Degree Scholarship Program

The Wells Fargo & TLF Student Degree Program is a scholarship program for need-based Latinx undergraduate and graduate students. The purpose of this program is to improve higher education graduating rates in underserved, underrepresented populations across Los Angeles County. The financial aid awarded from this program will enable more Latinx students to take part in the university experience and build lifelong skills to help achieve their potential and attain an undergraduate or graduate degree.
Current college seniors and graduate students meeting the following criteria and completing the application will be considered for the 2019 Wells Fargo & TLF Student Degree Scholarship Program. To download the application, please visit 
Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or DACA recipient
  • Must be of Latinx heritage
  • Must be a current student at any of the below listed California State University schools, and be carrying a minimum of 9 units per semester/quarter
    • Eligible schools: CSU, Dominguez Hills; CSU, Long Beach; CSU Los Angeles; Cal Poly Pomona
  • Must have a minimum of 2.8 GPA
  • MUST major in a field of study that has an emphasis in advertising, graphic design, marketing, public relations.
  • Must be graduating no later than May 2021
  • Recipients MUST be available to participate in the scholarship activities on Monday, December 2, 2019. If chosen, the applicant MUST attend TLF's scholarship activities to receive the scholarship.

Application Checklist:

  • Application must be typed or it will not be accepted
  • Application form, which includes all of the following components. The following essay question should be answered in a separate page:
    • A 500-word essay outlining your career goals and where you see your career path leading you. In addition, explain why you believe it’s important to increase the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of advertising, marketing and public relations.
  • Your current resume
  • Unofficial transcripts from your college/university; if you are selected as a recipient, you must provide official transcripts.
  • Headshot photo of applicant
